Photoshop Rendering
drawing | 3D modeling | hand rendering
Work from the visualization course that’s part of my certification. Here we had to take various “starter” images and work them into full-color images suitable for presentation. For these I opted not to try for photo-realism. Instead I wanted to affect an illustrative, almost painterly style.
Hand + Digital Colorization
The first part of this was to start with a tracing of a provided piece of line art, create a hand-shaded version then do a final color version using Photoshop. As mentioned, I did not try to make these realistic but wanted to challenge myself to explore a more illustrative style, evocative of the Mid-Century aesthetic the home reflects. The second part was to take a Sketchup model of the famous Barcelona Pavilion designed by Mies van der Rohe, pick an angle/perspective we liked then also render it in Photoshop. All the landscaping elements, figures and even the dog were created using Midjourney.
